Resources for Understanding & Supporting FASD

 When we understand what's driving the behavior, we can identify appropriate accommodations and support. Focusing on positive, preventative strategies—rather than simply reacting to problems—leads to better outcomes for individuals, stronger relationships, and improved quality of life.


Despite affecting up to 1 in 20 people, FASD remains unfamiliar to many professionals, leaving families struggling to access essential services. The resources and organizations below offer FASD-specific and trauma-informed support

FASD United's Family Navigators serve members of the FASD community by providing expert one-on-one support and referrals for resources & services.  This services is free and available via phone or online support request.

 View the short film commissioned by UK's FASD Awareness to learn more about the potential effects to an unborn baby when prenatally exposed to alcohol.  The film explores how alcohol affects the developing fetus, brain development, gene expression, affects cell migration, and can inhibit growth.
