The Center for Neurobehavioral Guidance provides a variety of supports and services to help improve the lives of individuals and families living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and brain-based differences.
It can be difficult to find support and professionals who understand the complexities of FASD & other neurodevelopmental differences. For caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental differences, supportive and collaborative services can improve understanding, communication, and the whole family’s well-being.
Parents, caregivers, professionals, schools, and community members all benefit from understanding the impact alcohol has on the brain and how we can provide the needed support.
We help connect families and professionals to create wider access to support.
Families of children with FASDs report their greatest needs are an increased understanding of FASD to allow access to wider access to meaningful supports.
Consultation & Guidance to support individuals, caregivers, and families as they navigate the developmental, behavioral, emotional, social, and educational challenges of those living with FASD, neurobehavioral differences, or early trauma.
Consultation & Training for providers, educators, and professionals help increase the ability to provide FASD-informed care with effective services, and interventions.
Collaboration between professionals, educators, caregivers, & others to identify how to recognize and meet the individualized needs of individuals living with FASD using the neurobehavioral model.
Education & Advocacy within the community to increase resources, awareness, and understanding of FASD and brain-based disabilities.
The Center for Neurobehavioral Guidance is part of the FASD UNITED AFFILIATE NETWORK. FASD United and its Affiliates' joint efforts build community coalitions, coordinate advocacy efforts, provide resources, support, and advance the knowledge of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).
