Welcome to The Center for Neurobehavioral Guidance. We are a dedicated 501 (c) (3) non-profit registered in the state of IL. We are committed to supporting families and professionals impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and brain-based differences. We provide brain-based affirming caregiver support groups, education & consultations for professionals, and accessible resources. Together, we build understanding, connection, and stronger communities.
It is our mission to empower parents and caregivers with knowledge and community while helping professionals increase their ability to provide compassionate, brain-based responsive support to individuals living with FASD. Our neurodiversity-affirming approach focuses on awareness, education, and meaningful connections.
It can be difficult to find support and professionals who understand the complexities of FASD & other neurodevelopmental differences. For caregivers of children with neurodevelopmental differences, supportive and collaborative services can improve understanding, communication, and the whole family’s well-being.
Families of children with FASDs report their greatest needs are an increased understanding of FASD to allow access to wider access to meaningful supports.
CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS. Caregivers can connect with others, share experiences, and find practical strategies and support.
CONSULTATION & GUIDANCE. Caregivers receive personalized guidance, skill-building, and encouragement tailored to their unique situation.
EDUCATION & TRAINING. Education & Training for providers, educators, and professionals to increase the ability to provide brain-based/FASD-informed care with effective services and interventions.
REFLECTIVE CONSULTATION. Clinicians enhance skills and confidence in brain-based responsive care.
COLLABORATION. Connecting professionals, educators, caregivers, & others to identify how to recognize and meet the individualized needs of individuals living with FASD using the neurobehavioral model.
RESOURCES. A growing online library of guides, videos, and referral information for families and professionals.
ADVOCACY. Joining forces efforts with FASD United and it's Affiliates to build community coalitions, coordinate advocacy efforts, provide resources, support, and advance the knowledge of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).
